Captain Spencer Hobby is a 2nd generation professional guide in the Fort Myers, Pine Island, Sanibel, Matlacha and Punta Rassa area. Captain Spencer Hobby now works in the same waters he was born and raised in. Starting at the age of 2, he has been running around Pine Island Sound, Caloosahatchee River, and San Carlos Bay chasing snook, redfish, and tarpon.
I have devoted my entire life to chasing these fish and putting my clients on the fish of a lifetime. Although my main species to target are tarpon, snook, and redfish I do target species such as permit, gag grouper, snapper, cobia, and tripletail. Depending on the time of year and weather, my targeted species are always alternating. Typically I fish in 2-6ft of water chasing redfish and snook. Tarpon can be anywhere in-between 4-20ft of water. Nearshore wrecks hold large permit and gag grouper. Fishinghobbytoo covers just about any fishing from backwaters out to 9 miles offshore. It is the perfect boat from a live bait three-person charter to a single man charter sight casting and throwing a fly rod. With dimensions of an 18′ 4″ LOA and a 6′ 8″ beam, this boat is extremely stable.
